 'freewheel' was installed as a piece where participants engage with thoughts on the ideas of work, progress and freedom. Various quotes taken from philosophers, religious thinkers, artists and activists, were written onto postcards. Underneath each quote a cup containing coloured bike wheel spoke beads was provided. Visitors were invited to contempltae the quotes and choose one or more coloured beads to then place on the bike wheel installed on the railings, provoking passers' by curiosity. The wheels were all installed in a front garden of Ninian Road, during the community arts festival 'Made in Roath' [Cardiff 2017].
