FRUIT ROUTES May~Bees Walk & Beltane Celebration with LAGS Friday 2nd May 2pm-4pm FREE - all welcome In May we walk as bees and other pollinators through the flowering Orchards and then onto celebrate the festival of Beltane with the LAGS gardening group. Beltane marks the halfway point between the Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice, which we will move through with ceremony and ritual to connect our energies to those of the unifying forces in nature to experience the power we hold to co-create our futures. This is the fifth in a series of walks following the seasons with our senses and connecting in embodied ways to experience nature. The walk will start at the Barefoot Orchard, located next to the Paddock and (almost) opposite Pilkington library. Look for the Fruit Routes information board near the Geography Weather Station. Then we will make our way over to the LAGS garden, behind car park 5 near the Facilities Management yard. This event is free and all are welcome (students, staff and the local community). We recommend booking in advance to help us manage numbers and keep you informed should we need to make any changes to the event due to the weather. We will be walking along running routes and natural paths, so please wear suitable footwear and dress for the weather! Loughbourough University meet at the Barefoot Orchard, next to the paddock, and nearly opposite the Pilkington Library, look for the fenced off Geography Weather Station The walk will start at 2pm and end at the Barefoot Orchard around 3:30pm, after which we will make our way over to the LAGS garden. more info at fruitroutesloughborough.com Comments are closed.
