Root & Branch : Group Exhibition @ LPW

I've been kindly invited by fellow artist and LPW studio holder, Peter Clayton to show work in an exhibition he has curated at LPW

‘Root and Branch’ is an exhibition of work by fifteen members of Leicester Print Workshop whose practice is inspired and informed by trees and woodland environments. The exhibition runs from 1st . August to 5th . September 2026.
Their diverse approaches and ideas reflect the enormous range of work created within the Workshop at large. Processes range from lithography, lino printing and etching through to woodcut, screen
print, monoprint and mixed media. Techniques range from hand drawn and cut, to photographic based work and collage.
For some, inspiration comes from personal and emotional narratives related to specific environments for others the work is about expressing a mood or a fascination with a
particular aspect of the woodland environment in general. Others may have a metaphysical connection with woodland or explore it as a source of myth and legend. The exhibition ties in with Leicester Print Workshop’s 40th anniversary celebrations and the 10th anniversary of the studio’s move to their impressive current address which opened up the opportunity to develop and offer an even wider range of print media, educational opportunities and ways of connecting to, and interacting with, the public locally, nationally and internationally.
